What is this all about?

Today we would like to provide you with some essential info about the whole point of it all - what is the PEACE Project about; our general agenda of this year's edition, the main goals that we are determined to achieve and the way it's all going to happen.

So, to have it in brief:

Period of internship: 2.02.2013 - 17.03.2013
Intership: GCDP internship, 6 weeks long
Interns job description: active participation in workshops and Global Village, organizing lessons in high schools, showing multimedia presentation
Target group: high school students from Masovian Voivodship
Number of interns: 3 interns per school
Duration of workshops (6 weeks):
I week: Opening Week (+Global Village-Party – traditional dishes, clothes, music)
II-IV week: visiting 3 schools (one in a week) in a group of 3 interns
IV/V week: weekend in Warsaw (switch in groups)
V-VI week : visiting 2 schools (one in a week) in a group of 3 different interns
Duration of each workshop: 15- 20 minutes of presentation + games and discussion with students (1- 2 hours)

The aims of the project are:

1) promoting the tolerance of different points of views, customs and habits, ways of behavior

2) building the awareness of stereotypes and prejudices in polish mentality, their sources and ways of breaking them

3) encouraging to the openness towards different races, cultures, religions among polish students and local communities

4) taking up the challenge of some events that will be organized by students at local level

5) providing the students with motivation for learning foreign languages

6) creating a wish among young people: to get to know new places around the world and to broaden the knowledge about different countries

 

Czym tak naprawdę jest projekt PEACE?

Jest to projekt organizowany przez AIESEC Warszawa SGH,

mający na celu propagowanie tolerancji i zrozumienia

międzykulturowego wśród polskich licealistów z województwa

mazowíeckiego. Ten wyjątkowy projekt łączy 24 stażystów z 5

kontynentów. Inauguacją projektu jest Opening Week, a kulminacją - Global Village.
Zakończenie stanowi Closing Ceremony.

Global Village? Opening Week???

Opening Week jest to pierwszy tydzień pobytu wolontariuszy

w Polsce, w którym zaznajamiani są z polską kulturą,

uczestniczą w serii  warsztatów prowadzonych przez

doświadczonych członków AIESEC oraz biorą udział w

imprezie Global Village. 

Global Village jest to impreza mająca na celu wyróżnienie

najważniejszych elementów kultury kraju wolontariuszy,

poprzez: tradycyjne potrawy, ubrania oraz muzykę.

 

  A to wszystko ma sens, bo liczy się:

Budowanie tolerancji dla odmiennych przekonań, religii i pochodzenia.

Przełamanie uprzedzeń i stereotypów zakorzenionych w polskiej mentalności.

Rozbudzenie wśród licealistów ciekawości świata i chęci odkrywania tego, co dotychczas pozostawało tajemnicze.

 Inspirowanie licealistów do globalnego myślenia í przełamywania barier.
